TECHNOLOGY

Technology occupies an important place within students’ lives. By integrating technology into the classroom, we are changing the way we teach, and we are providing students with the tools that will take them into the 21st century.

Holy Family Grade School’s technology instruction is aligned with the National Educational Technology Standards for students.

These standards are all applied to enhance student work. The standards are divided into six areas:

  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Research and Information Fluency
  • Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making
  • Digital Citizenship
  • Technology Operations and Concepts

Another integral part of our technology program is the use of iPADs for all students in grades 6, 7 and 8. All teachers implement the use of the iPAD in their teaching as well. Technology is used to enhance learning and engage students.

Short throw projectors are in every classroom as well as the auditorium for viewing educational videos, powerpoint presentations from the students as well as the teachers, and many other uses.
