Ms. Tan Cobb

Welcome 1st Grade Families!

My name is Tan Cobb, the 2022-2023 1st Grade teacher. This is my first year at Holy Family Grade School and I could not be more excited to be a part of this community.

I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. I attended Catholic School from elementary through highschool. I went to Holy Family Catholic School in Randallstown, Maryland and Seton Keough Highschool in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a Veteran Elementary School Teacher. I have a strong diverse skillset with much to offer … I’ve taught kindergarten-5th grade in Baltimore, Maryland, Atlanta, Georgia and New Haven, Connecticut.  I taught Kindergarten for the last 4 years in which I earned the the status of Master Teacher due to high student achievement, administrative observations and parent/colleague surveys.

I  received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from University of Maryland of Baltimore County. Attending Catholic school has given me a strong sense of Self and Faith which has made me a stronger and more well rounded – compassionate teacher. I am so excited to meet all of your awesome scholars and to get back in the classroom so we can grow our brains!

During my spare time, I am a big Theatre/movie buff! My favorite books are “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren and “Finding Me” by Viola Davis . My favorite colors are pink and tan. I love to eat fruit and drink Starbucks coffee. Also my favorite sweet treat is Reese peanut butter cups and Skittles candy.  My special classroom signature are hearts …💕 I love to laugh, dance, listen to music and spend time with family and friends.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to join the Holy Family Community and I am looking forward to working with the Administration, Faculty, Staff, Parents and Students to have an amazing school year.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time by phone at (818) 243-9239 ext. 401 or by email at [email protected]
