Mrs. Ashley Liberda

Dear Parents,

It is such a pleasure to say that this is my fourteenth year working at Holy Family Grade School. In addition to being the eighth grade homeroom teacher, I am the Vice Principal of Middle School and the Resource Specialist for grades 4th through 8th as well. I currently hold a Master’s in Education with an Emphasis in Teaching, along with my Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Azusa Pacific University. With this, I am eager to utilize the education gained in order to provide a classroom community that is conducive to all learning types. Every year, I am blessed with a new group of students and every year I watch them grow and develop into responsible, young men and women. As the students progress in terms of their grade level, the expectations increase as well. Thus, as the students enter eighth grade, they are to maintain professionalism, maturity, and respect at all times.

As eighth graders, students are embarking on a journey that will eventually lead them to high school. During their eighth grade year, students often engage in thoughts of the future. Accordingly, it is crucial that the students set goals and commit themselves educationally in order to achieve their dreams and desires. In order to ensure that your child receives the proper skills, the knowledge, and the confidence needed for high school, I will be sure to provide an educational environment that caters to each individual child, as well as the classroom as a whole. As your child’s eighth grade teacher, I plan on creating a classroom community that is filled with responsibility, organization, and most importantly, respect.

During your child’s eighth grade year, there will be significant events, important deadlines, and of course, reasons to celebrate. Please know that this final year is the most important year prior to high school, and for that reason, the students are encouraged to persevere through challenging situations, continuously turn in assignments, study for all exams, be on their best behavior, and apply themselves to the best of their abilities. It is evident that applying for high school is stressful; yet working hard and getting into the high school of their choice will be unforgettable.

In order to guarantee a positive and effective school year, I believe that you and I are a team; a team that will work together in order to make certain that goals are met. Therefore, I feel that open lines of communication between the parents, students, and teacher is important to promoting an educational environment that is conducive to learning. With that said, you may contact me by phone at (818) 243-9239. Also, I am available for conferences before school on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and after school on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 3:30 p.m.

I look forward to another successful school year!

Warmly,
Mrs. Ashley Liberda
