We Are So Proud!

One of our own, Luke McEndarfer (class of 1991) is awarded the prestigious GRAMMY AWARD.

“We are beyond thrilled to announce that the National Children’s Chorus is now GRAMMY® Award-winning as of this past weekend! The NCC and Artistic Director Luke McEndarfer took home the win in the Best Choral Performance category for the recently released album on the esteemed Deutsche Grammophon label of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, “Symphony of a Thousand” with conductor Gustavo Dudamel and Los Angeles Philharmonic, recorded live in Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2019.”

–NCC (National Children’s Chorus)

NCC Artistic Director Luke McEndarfer shares this sentiment:
“This weekend was surely one of the most inspiring and touching experiences of my life. While I am thrilled that the NCC received one of music’s greatest honors, my heart was deeply moved that we did it alongside three other choral organizations whom we profoundly admire and respect. The Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Pacific Chorale and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus all have contributed vastly to our choral field within classical music for decades, and like the NCC, each of them stand for an impeccable standard of artistic and organizational excellence. Receiving our GRAMMY® Award recognition together made this evening more special and memorable than words can ever describe.”
