Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!
Would you like to be a part of the HFGS Band? In band you will learn how to play a Woodwind, Brass, or Percussion instrument. You will learn how to read music, learn basic maintenance of your instrument, perform at school concerts, and best of all make new friends! I can help you choose an instrument if you are unsure of what to play. No prior playing experience is necessary to join band. Band Instrument instruction is offered to 4th through 8th grade students on the following instruments:
Flute – Clarinet – Saxophone – Trumpet – Trombone – Percussion
Band Class meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:15 pm to 4:50 pm. The first Band class will be on Wednesday, September 8th.
**Please refer to the school handbook for fees involved, or speak to Dr. Suelto regarding scholarship opportunities. I primarily communicate via email, so please make sure you give me your email address. Throughout the year I will send important updates via e-mail on band news (schedule changes, instrument check out information, materials needed, etc.).
