Miss Justine Bote

Dear 1st grade families,

Welcome to a new school year! My name is Mrs. Justine Bote-Ly and I am the 1st grade teacher here at Holy Family. I am very excited to work with you and your child this year. I have lived in Glendale since I moved here from the Philippines and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to give back to the community in which I grew up.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies as well as my multiple subject teaching credential from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In the future, I plan to earn my Master of Arts in Education in order to better serve Holy Family and its students.

First grade will be a year full of growth, building upon everything they learned in kindergarten, and preparing them for 2nd grade and beyond. As our theme for this upcoming school year is optimism, our 1st graders will learn how to be more hopeful and confident as the year goes on.

To my 1st grade students: I am very excited to teach you, learn more about you, and learn from you! I will do my very best to ensure that you have a wonderful time in 1st grade. To the 1st grade families: As their primary educator, I look forward to collaborating with you this upcoming year to not only help your child excel in reading, math and other academic subjects, but in their character as well. I hope that we can work together to help your child grow to their fullest potential. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email at [email protected], if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you and I look forward to having a great year with you all!

Best,

Mrs. Justine Bote-Ly
