Mrs. Pamela Wardle

Dear Third Grade Families,

My name is Pamela Wardle, and I am elated to start my first year here at Holy Family Grade School. I am truly blessed to be so warmly welcomed by the Holy Family Grade School Community and to be working with you and your children. I hope you had a fantastic summer — I know I did! I moved across town, got married, took a honeymoon and started a new job all in the span of three months!

Because I’m new, here’s a very brief biography of me: I grew up in San Jose, living there until I moved to Thousand Oaks and attended California Lutheran University. At CLU I received my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and double-minored in Art and Business. Since graduation, I realized my calling as a teacher and completed both my California Teaching Credential in 2015 as well as a Masters in Education in 2017, both at California Lutheran University. I have a lot to thank CLU for, but most of all for introducing me to my now-husband, Stephen. That’s enough of that. Let’s talk about the year ahead.

Third Grade is a year of transition. Your students will be building on everything they’ve learned so far, but this year will be learning how to be academics. No longer are they learning to read, now they will be reading to learn. By the end of this school year, your student will be a writing wizard ready to cast their spell over the 4th grade and beyond.

For my Third Grader Students: I am thrilled to meet every one of you. I know that we are going to have fun and learn lots this year. Get ready!

To the Third Grade Families: I look forward to working with you.  Parents are a child’s primary educator, and I am here to support you and your child’s growth.  We, as one community, will build the faith and education of these children.  Communication is critical in working as one community.  Please keep in contact via email at pwardle@hfgsglendale.org if you need to communicate with me.

Holy Family Grade School’s theme for the 2018-2019 school year is COURAGE, which helps us grow as individuals by standing up for oneself and others. Let’s muster our courage and face the start of a new year together!

Thank you and I look forward to having a fantastic year will you all!

Best,

Mrs. Pamela Wardle, M.Ed.
