Dear Parents,

Hello and welcome to 1st grade. My name is Mrs. Pamela Flores and I am so pleased to be your child’s 1st grade teacher. This will be my second year teaching at Holy Family Grade School and I am very excited about what the school year holds. Let me first start by sharing some information about myself professionally and personally. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of California Northridge in 2014. I taught two years of K-2 in a Public School in Castaic, California. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family.

What an amazing journey we get to embark on together! I have so much planned and I can’t wait to get to know you and your family. I am thrilled to pass my passion for learning on to my students. I feel that all children are different and require specific attention and affection for them to flourish. It is my privilege to be able to provide all my students with various opportunities to take ownership of their learning experiences.

As children begin their education in first grade, my goal is to encourage a balance between development of the whole child and a core of information which helps them become competent learners. It is essential to ensure that each student is able to live a life that is engaged, meaningful, and enjoyable. My greatest hope for all my students is that they feel free to explore and grow in a happy environment that fosters kindness and acceptance.

Parent-Teacher collaboration is a key factor to the successful outcome of your child’s education. The more I know about your child, the better I can effectively meet his/her needs in my classroom. Please feel free to call or email me at anytime. I look forward to a great year together!
