Mrs. Patricia Coppola

Dear Parents / Guardians,

Hola! My name is Pat Coppola and I will be teaching Spanish this year!

I am so excited to have your child in my classroom, they will have a fun and rewarding experience in my Spanish class. I believe that by all of us working together we can make this a very successful year.

I was born and raised in Argentina, Buenos Aires, and migrated to the U.S. when I was in my twenties. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UADE in Argentina. For the past 15 years I was a Spanish Teacher at The Learning Castle and La Canada Prep. Last year and this Summer I was the Site Director for Kallpachay Immersion Spanish classes at Lila International in Tarzana, also I have been a Spanish Medical Interpreter for 12 years, a job I am very proud too, because it’s base on helping people.

I am extremely passionate about Spanish language and culture and cannot wait to inspire my students to develop a love for life-long learning of Spanish and other foreign languages!

This year will be great and exciting for my students, myself and families. We will study a world language program with emphasis on language acquisition skills for listening, speaking, reading, writing and cultural awareness. I have plan a year of challenging lessons as well as a number of special projects and presentations.

Also the students will learn proper pronunciations, greetings and type of sentences. We will also cover geography and different countries and cultures of Latin America.

To accomplish as much as possible, your child is receiving and becoming very familiar this week with guidelines, rules, regulations, procedures and expectations.

The students will have Spanish class once or twice a week for 45 minutes period.

I am looking forward to work with your child this upcoming school year.

I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child’s teacher and look forward to meeting each of you and learning how I might be of help to you and your child.

Lastly, I just want to say that it is my goal to do everything I can to help your child succeed in my class. You are invited to email/phone me or visit the school when you need clarification or have a question concerning your child’s progress,

With warm regards,

Ms. Pat Coppola
