Ms. Maria Talavera

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at Holy Family Grade School.  I am looking forward to having your children in the Computer Lab this year. This year I will strive on creating an educational partnership with you and your child, that will foster a passion for learning, and a challenging environment which will ensure academic success.

Attendance, good behavior and outstanding citizenship at school are crucial elements in the learning process. During the first week of school, I will work with the students to establish all Computer Lab rules, which will of course include Netiquette. Digital citizenship is a must at all times, but especially in the Computer Lab.

Developing a partnership between school and home will ensure that our goal of having your child reach his/her full potential, and meet all NETS and STEM standards will be realized.  Meeting the SLE’s is also a goal at HFGS. One of them is: “A student of Holy Family Grade School is technologically literate.”

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of you in advance for your support in the upcoming school year.  Our theme for this year will be COURTESY. It is important to do our very best, and always with integrity.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year.

I can be reached at: [818] 243-9239 x 412 or via e-mail at: MTalavera@hfgsglendale.org

Sincerely,

Mrs. Talavera
